These are wild birds. I don’t capture them for the purpose of photography. Most of the photos are taken at bird bandings in which case they have been netted for scientific study. To learn more about bird bandings, click here. They get their picture taken while they are returning to their habitat.
A variety of locations. We started in Minnesota, specifically at Carpenter Nature Center and Springbrook NatureCenter. Other events are hosted by the NCBO. All of these are located within about 30 miles of the Twin Cities.
We commit 10% of our net profits to Audubon Minnesota annually. In the future we will be looking into a pick your own environmental option.
